Joining Carlisle Aquatics Swimming CLub

Join Us

Joining the club is quite straight forward and detailed below. However, we would recommend that you take the time to browse this website in full as it contains a lot of information about what Carlisle Aquatics Swimming Club has to offer swimmers of all standards.

You will be told what time you need to come to the pool and someone will take you to the poolside and show you where to go.

However, due to the high number of non-swimmers joining the club, there may be a waiting list for the D squad; you will be informed as soon as there is a space available.

Children will need to be of the equivalent standard of ASA National Teaching plan grade 7 or over and be able to swim 25m, after assessment they will be placed in the appropriate squad. Once they have been placed in a squad, you will  have 3 free sessions to make sure it is what the swimmer and parent are looking for. After the 3 sessions you will be asked to pay the club membership fee ASA registration fee, monthly training fees for each group are also charged.. Please see our helpful ladies on the balcony from 6.30 to 7.30 Tuesday and Thursday evenings, for details of fees or see the details on the different squad pages (links below).

Children in the Club are observed regularly by our experienced and qualified coaches. Children will be promoted to the higher squads as they improve in ability and speed.

All swimmers MUST have completed either the initial enquiry form or the full membership application form and the Health and Safety Questionnaire before getting in the water. Please bring this with you when you are coming for your assessment.
